With New Office Comes Few Changes
As many of you know, we have moved! We are no longer located at 5145 Raleigh LaGrange, Suite 103. Delta Surveillance's new street address is 5587 Murray Road, Suite 100 & 105. We are located on the first floor, by the front (ste 100) & rear (ste 105) entrances. Our Central Station has also made the move to Murray Road (Ste 105). We moved to this new location because it is more centrally located to all of our customers and we feel we will better be able to serve each of our clients from this location.
NEW TIP
Dear Client,
Delta Surveillance would like to inform you about the potential impact that installing Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) could have on your electronic security/life safety system. VoIP is a technology that allows you to make telephone calls via the broadband internet instead of using a traditional landline telephone.
We realize VoIP may be useful technology for you, but we want to make sure you are aware of the affects it could have on your electronic security/life safety system. If you decide to install VoIP, please make sure the company you are working with knows that you have an alarm system.
The following are things to consider before installing VoIP:
*If a phone number change is required when switching to VoIP, make sure to notify us
about the change. The monitoring station has no way to contact you should an alarm be
activated if we do not have your new number.
*It may be difficult for you to connect with a local 911-dispatch center or for the dispatch
center to identify the location of the Internet based 911 call.
*In addition to alarm system battery back-up equipment, VoIP may need additional battery
back-up to maintain communications in the event of a power outage.
*There could be costs and modifications for your alarm system to communicate through
VoIP.
We encourage you to check with us before making any changes to your existing telephone service. Through proper communication, we will be able to continue to provide monitoring services for your electronic security/life safety system.
If you have any questions regarding VoIP and how it may affect your electronic security/life safety system, please
contact us.
NEW TIP
Want to know when your school aged children arrive at your house in the afternoon, while you sit at work? Your alarm system can be programmed to notify you, by phone, the moment your house alarm is deactivated in the afternoon. It can even be programmed to alert you when the system has not been deactivated by a set time.
For example: Johnny is supposed to arrive at your house around 3:30, but no later than 3:45. The moment he enters his code, you will get a call letting you know that he has made it home safely. If, by 3:45, your alarm has not been deactivated, you will get a call letting you know that he has not entered your house by the appointed time.
